When it comes to long-haul flights, comfort matters. Japan Airlines Business Class is known for its refined service, but is it really worth the price?
The Seat
The first thing that stood out was the spacious seat layout. JAL’s business class doesn’t just give you more legroom — it feels like your own mini-suite. The privacy partitions are high enough to create a sense of seclusion. When it’s time to rest, the fully flat bed with plush bedding makes it surprisingly easy to sleep.

Entertainment & Service
Japanese hospitality, or omotenashi, is at the heart of JAL’s service. The crew struck the perfect balance — attentive without being intrusive. The entertainment system had movies, shows and music. I found myself more absorbed in the noise-cancelling headphones and cozy slippers they provided. Small touches like an amenity kit (with Shiseido skincare!) made the experience feel personalized.
The Food
I didn’t take many food photos because the dishes disappeared too quickly. But everything I had was delicious.
All in all, flying Japan Airlines was by far one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. If you can afford the splurge, I definitely would recommend making the upgrade.
